LoRa APRS
Long-range, low-power APRS tracker over LoRa radio on the 70cm band, with a big display and long battery life.
This is a LoRa APRS tracker: it broadcasts real-time GPS position using long-range, low-power LoRa radio on the 70cm amateur band, at 433.775MHz with a 125kHz bandwidth and spreading factor 12 — LoRa's usual tradeoff of speed for range and power efficiency, which suits a battery-powered tracker well.
It has a 2.4-inch display, a 5000mAh battery for a full day's use, and its own charging circuit: a red LED means it's charging, blue means it's full. The same GPS, Tx and Rx status LEDs as my other APRS builds show it's locked and transmitting.
It's built into a solid cabinet so it can ride along in a bag or a vehicle without needing extra protection.
A user manual and video for this kit are coming soon.
